We think lavender is a great herb for right now, its relaxing and the scent is just so soothing. We had to start with lavender! where it all started for us 17 years ago! This is a grosso variety originally developed in France. And very hardy! A splayed out, compact bush with a dense hedgehog like growth habit. Produces soft violet blossoms with high yielding pungent camphorous oils. Commercially important strain from the Vaucluse district of France. Discovered in 1972 when the standard commercial strain was nearly destroyed by disease. Lavender must be located in full sun and planted in well drained alkaline sandy soil, ideally in a raised bed or rock garden as it is prone to root rot if conditions are too wet. Height 75cm/30”. Perennial (hardy in zones 5-9) This listing is for 8 plants. Pot size is about 3-4 inches.
