How to Make a Dried Flower Wreath

Making a dried flower wreath can be a fun and creative activity. Here are some steps to help you create your own:

Materials:

  • A wire wreath frame
  • Floral wire
  • Dried flowers and foliage of your choice
  • Wire cutters
  • Ribbon or twine for hanging.

Steps:

  1. Begin by collecting a variety of dried flowers and foliage. You can either purchase pre-dried materials or dry your own flowers and foliage by hanging them upside down in a dry, dark place for a few weeks until they are fully dried.
  2. Once you have your dried materials, separate them into small bunches and trim the stems to about 2-3 inches in length.
  3. Take a piece of floral wire and attach it to the wire wreath frame. You can do this by wrapping the wire around the frame and twisting the ends together to secure it.
  4. Take one of your dried flower bunches and place it against the wreath frame, positioning it where you want it to go. Use another piece of floral wire to attach the stems to the wreath frame, wrapping the wire around the stems and the frame and twisting the ends together to secure it.
  5. Continue adding dried flower bunches to the wreath frame, working your way around the frame and filling in any gaps as needed. Try to vary the colors and textures of the materials to create a visually interesting wreath.
  6. Once you have filled in the wreath frame with your dried flowers and foliage, use wire cutters to trim any excess wire.
  7. Finally, attach a ribbon or piece of twine to the wreath frame for hanging.

Your dried flower wreath is now ready to be displayed!
